In 'Sorry,
Pardon, What?', the Tim Wilson Trio presents
a collection of exciting original compositions,
infused with the spontaneity and interaction
of contemporary jazz. Stylistically, the album
also draws from a broad range of influences
including drum 'n' bass, European classical
music, Eastern music, latin grooves and the
avant garde.
Recorded
'live' at Adelphia Studios, the ensemble
was able to work in the one acoustic space,
and treat the session as per a gig. The
objective was for the album to have that
raw, edgy quality, that is so often lost
in studio jazz recordings.
This
release introduces an exciting new trio
lineup featuring Dave Beck (drums/percussion)
and Ben Robertson (bass), who bring their
fresh and exhilarating approaches to these
new works.

album 'The Waiting Game'. This new release
showcases the ensemble's diverse musical influences,
and their evolving group concept. Whilst maintaining
a focus on developing a fresh, contemporary
sound, the group also prides itself on preserving
the spontaneous and interactive approach of
the jazz tradition.
The
7 tracks presented on 'The Waiting Game'
represent a variety of different styles,
and contrast from compositions based on
complex rhythmic and harmonic patterns,
to simple grooves. 6 of the tracks are originals,
with the only cover being an extended arrangement
of the Dizzy Gillespie classic, 'A Night
in Tunisia'.
